Cancellation and Refund Policy

Gnu Group Learning Academy, operated by GNU IT Solutions and Services. under the brand name Gnu Group, keeps the published Linux learning material free. This policy applies only to optional paid assessment-and-certification services.

Before payment

A learner may stop the certification process at any time before completing payment. No fee is charged for continuing to learn without certification.

Duplicate or erroneous payment

If a learner is charged more than once for the same assessment attempt, or believes a payment was made in error, they should contact Gnu Group with the payment-gateway order or payment ID so the transaction can be reviewed.

Certification service failure

If a successful payment is independently verified but Gnu Group cannot provide the paid certification service because of a technical or administrative failure, Gnu Group may first correct the issue and deliver the certificate. If the service cannot reasonably be provided, the payment may be refunded to the original payment method.

After certificate issuance

Once a valid certificate and its verification record have been issued, the certification fee is ordinarily not refundable merely because the learner no longer wants the credential. This does not limit any refund or consumer right that must be provided under applicable law.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are initiated through the original payment channel. Final credit timing is controlled by the payment processor, bank, card network or payment method and may vary.

Effect on certificate status

If the payment supporting a certificate is fully refunded or reversed, Gnu Group may mark the associated certificate as revoked so that the public verification record accurately reflects the current credential status.
